PHXAM 2025 Trip Recap

The crew rolled into Arizona with big goals and even bigger energy, ready to take on PHXAM and stack clips in the desert. For Cam, it was all about landing every trick in the event, qualifying into semis, and getting street clips for Varsity 2025. “My comp didn’t go as good as I hoped,” he said, “but I still had a great time. I met a lot of new friends and got a solid amount of street clips with Arlan.”

Jimmy came in with the goal to 180 the Tempe Euro, learn new tricks, and push himself. Mission accomplished! “I 180’d the Tempe Euro both ways and learned a lot—like manuals and skating bigger obstacles,” he said. Though he still wished he had tried some rails and gone harder at a few spots, he walked away hyped on his progress.

Sam kept it simple: get better, meet more pros, and have fun. “I did all of my goals,” he said. Even while dealing with sickness throughout the trip, he still managed to film solid clips and have a blast. “Street skating on the college campus was my favorite part.”

Challenges came with the territory—nerves at the comp, falling during runs, the brutal Arizona heat, and staying energized across long days. “One challenge I faced was being kind of nervous before the comp,” Cam shared. “But once I started skating the park, I felt a lot better.” Jimmy overcame the heat with water and rest, while Sam pushed through his illness with determination and focus.

The trip was packed with highlights: watching pros throw down at PHX AM, Cam winning his bracket, filming late-night at Tempe, and exploring new street spots. The energy, the skating, and the bonds made during the trip all left a lasting impact.

As Jimmy put it, “I wouldn’t change much—just try harder and do stuff that scares me.”
