Much of the world knew him as the “Dingo,” but we knew him as “Luke,” a man with a deep desire to spread love and help empower youth.

Throughout his early years as a professional snowboarder and during his time helping to create the iconic Grenade Gloves brand, Luke was a welcomed friend of ours each summer at Windells and High Cascade. As Luke matured and reflected upon his younger days, he confided in us that he felt a deep need to give back and help guide the younger generations. Out of this desire, he co-founded Find Your Grind, a modern platform helping students “navigate the future of work, build essential skills, and gain the confidence to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.”

Luke’s values and skill set were a natural fit for Wy’East Mountain Academy, making him one of our earliest board members. His latest effort with our school was in the concept, design, and funding of our new Learning Lab, an inspiring educational resource center to be constructed in the heart of our Mt. Hood campus. Slated for construction in 2026, the Learning Lab will feature Luke’s vision of having Find Your Grind digital resource stations to aid Wy’East Academy students in turning their passions into careers.

To honor Luke’s dedication to youth wellness, his significant contributions to Wy’East Mountain Academy, and for his vision with this new project, the Learning Lab will officially be dedicated to Luke Trembath.
