To have a group that is ready to build additional features that transform the experience athletes need to achieve goals is what attracted me in. Outside the box thinking has always been my approach to life so I am happy to have a group who share similar values. I want to turn this into the premier training grounds in the world and with that building some of the strongest athletes in their selected areas of specialty.

I love skateboarding and am so incredibly thankful to the people I’ve met and places it has taken me. Working for Wy’East Mountain Academy allows me to not only give back to the skate community but help it grow. Wy’East is a special and unique place where kids get a holistic look at skateboarding. I want to foster a positive environment for our students to set skate/personal goals and accomplish them. I love that campus is amongst the trees and streams at the base of the Mt. Hood, it is surreal to skate/live in such an incredible place.

I work at Wy'East Mountain Academy because I believe in what this place is doing and the direction it is headed. We are providing a setting for kids to pursue their passion while also pursing an education. When I look back on all of the coaches I have had over my career, most of them shaped my life in one facet or another, and now that I have been passed the touch I want impact these kids life's both athletically, and on personal level through skiing!

I am at Wy’East because my lifelong passion for skiing and my desire to help students grow through hands-on experience come together here. I’ve spent my life in the ski industry and love sharing the lessons I’ve learned with young athletes. Watching them push their limits, build confidence, and develop a love for the sport is incredibly rewarding. It’s an honor to coach and mentor the next generation, guiding them toward their goals both on and off the slopes.

Working with this company allows me to give back to the one aspect of my life that has been a constant for 20 years. Snowboarding has taken me all over the world, introduced me to my best friends, and has opened up doors that I could have only dreamed of. I want to help foster that for others and pass the torch in a way that shapes student athletes lives to set them up for a successful future following their passion.

My love for snowboarding started when I was 4 years old, my grandma would take me to my local hill and watch me walk up and ride down on my plastic snowboard for hours. Once I got older and started to ride the resort, I instantly was drawn towards the Terrain park and the freestyle aspect of snowboarding. The rest is history.
I worked as a coach at HighCascade for the last 2 years and this is my second year at Wy'East Mountain Academy.

I love snowboarding, where it has brought me, and the people it has introduced me to. Being able to share my passion of snowboarding with the up and coming generation as well as give back to the sport is exactly why I love working for Wy'East Mountain Academy. The journey these kids get to go on when they sign up for the academy is like nothing else. It's an honor to be a part of it as a coach and a mentor.

I started skateboarding at the age of 7, ever since then I knew that this was what I wanted to do with my life. As a young skateboarder I could've never imagined a place like Wy'East Academy let alone being part of it. Everyday I get the opportunity to give back to skateboarding by being a positive role model and leader to these kids. Working with the youth to help and observe them become the best versions of themselves is truely a symbiotic relationship. Simply put they make me a better person. I can proudly say that I've been a part of the academy since day one and my commitment and excitement to being here for the kids and our team has only grown.

I spent 12 summers attending skate camp at Windells/Seek skateboard camp, and 4 summers at work at We Are Camp. Originally, I came here as kid to skate with my Uncle Jamie in the summer of 2009, and knew instantly that I never wanted to leave this campus, and the concrete masterpiece that he created. I’m super excited to continue my journey here as a residential staff member and help shape some awesome people who are the future of our industry.

There is nowhere in the world like Mount Hood, Oregon, with access to some of the most distinctive mountains, coastlines, deserts, and cities all within a couple hours of each other. After spending three years living in New Zealand, my wife, two daughters, and I realized how good we had it in Oregon and the opportunities available at Wy'East Mountain Academy are second to none. We are looking forward to spending the next 50 or 60 years here racking up more Olympic medals.

I’m adventurous by nature. I grew up skiing, hiking, rafting and partaking in just about every outdoor sport there was on offer in the Siskiyou Mountains of Northern California and Southern Oregon. I spent my college years learning to fly airplanes, skateboarding and hitting the slopes of the Sierras on winter weekends. I spent most of my adult life overseas and moved back to the US in 2015. While living in Asia, I was part of an outdoor activities and education company, we taught young people English and provided them with outdoor adventures, study travel tours and cultural exchange opportunities. This experience and background is what attracts me to Wy’East Mountain Academy. I’m proud to be a part of it and I’d like to help further shape it into the best outdoor and action sports academy in the world. I’m humbled and honored to be part of the organization that comprises of Wy’East Mountain Academy, Windells and High Cascade and look forward to contributing in many ways and for many years to come.

Since age 12, snowboarding has been my focus. Without it being central to my decision making, I would not have my loving wife (a former pro snowboarder herself), two fascinating children, or be part of this incredible Academy. I owe it all to the mountains, snowboarding, and my education. Each day I am driven to help foster an environment where our students and staff may live extraordinary lives coalesced by intelligence, athleticism, and strong character.
